1 absorb sth (into sth) to take in and hold sth (a liquid, heat, etc) 吸收(液体、热等): a drug that is quickly absorbed into the bloodstream 能被血液很快吸收的药物 Black clothes absorb the sun's heat. 黑颜色的衣服容易吸收太阳的热力。
2 to take sth into the mind and understand it 吸收并理解;消化: I found it impossible to absorb so much information so quickly. 我觉得不可能这么快吸收这么多数据。
