1 used for saying that sth is possible (表示某事可能发生)可能:
‘Where's Vinay?’ ‘He might be upstairs.’“维纳在哪儿?”“他可能在楼上。”I think I might have forgotten the tickets.我觉得我可能忘了带票。She might not come if she's very busy.如果她很忙,就可能来不了。
2 (Brit 英) (formal 正式) used to ask for sth or suggest sth very politely (用于礼貌地提出请求或建议):
I wonder if I might go home half an hour early today?不知道今天我可不可以早半个小时回家呢?
3 used as the form of ‘may’ when you report what sb has said (复述别人的话时用作may的过去时):

you, etc might do sth used when you are angry to say what sb could or should have done (表示生气,认为某人可以或应做某事):
