1 [T] lift sb/sth (up) to move sb/sth to a higher level or position 举起: He lifted the child up onto his shoulders. 他把小孩举到肩膀上。 Lift your arm very gently and see if it hurts. 把胳膊抬起,看看痛不痛。 It took two men to lift the piano. 这架钢琴要两个男人才抬得动。
